Using The Employee Utility Wizard to Change Pay Rates
If you have entered an hourly pay rate on each employee,
when the minimum wage is changed you may be faced with having to update a lot of
employee accounts with new pay rates. There is a utility that makes it
easy to change accounts from one pay rate to another. The Employee File
Utilities wizard contains several options for making mass updates to employee
files, and changing the pay rates is one of them.
To start the Employee File Utility wizard, go to the
Payroll, Utilities, Employee File Utilities option. Click on the Next
button on the first page of the wizard, and you will see the following:

Select the "Change pay rate from" option and enter the old
pay rate and the new pay rates.
Click on the Next button, then click on the Finish button
(the next page asks for a Cutoff Date, which doesn't apply for this option of
changing the pay rate).
The pay rates on the employee accounts will then be
updated. You can use the option multiple times if needed.
